3D Skin Rejuvenation™ from Cutera
Every person ages at a different rate and in different ways. Some develop redness, age or sun spots.
Others have large pores, fine lines, wrinkles or lax skin. You may have one, two or all of these
conditions. Cutera's 3D Skin Rejuvenation takes a three-tiered approach to rejuvenating your skin for
all of these conditions.
Photo Genesis is a light-based procedure, which addresses problems right at the skin’s surface - redness, mottled complexions, freckles and sun damage.
Laser Genesis utilizes a laser to soften fine lines and wrinkles; shrinks pores and decrease or eliminate redness found deeper in the epidermis. Laser Genesis has been proven to stimulate the creation of new collagen, giving your face a more youthful appearance.
Titan is the newest category for skin fitness. The Titan uses infrared light to heat tissue in the deep dermis.
Together you can have a 3D Skin Rejuvenation experience!

Who can be treated?
Men and women of any age who wish to improve their skin can be treated. Skin which is lax, has
surface wrinkles, redness, brown spots, or enlarged pores are the most common conditions to treat.
What areas can be treated?
The most popular areas for treatment are the face and neck, but other body parts such as the hands,
arms and abdomen, are also frequently treated.
What do the treatments feel like?
Photo Genesis delivers a series of pulses of light. When each pulse of light is delivered, you may
feel a mild, brief pinching sensation. Laser Genesis treatments are gentle and soothing. During the
session you will feel a series of warm pulses along your skin. With each Titan pulse, you will first
feel cool, then a brief heating sensation followed by a cool feeling. Most patients are comfortable
without taking any medication; a few prefer taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Consult with your
treating practitioner for more information.
How many treatments will I need?
Each treatment regimen is different and customized to an individual patient's needs. Most patients
can expect between 2 and 6 treatments.
Are there any side effects?
The most common side effect is a slight redness or mild swelling in the treated area that disappears
within a few hours.
When will I see results?
Some patients observe immediate results. More typically, you will see results in two to four weeks and
improvements will continue for several months.
How does 3D Skin Rejuvenation compare with other laser treatments?
Most lasers treat only one or two aging conditions. They may diminish red or brown spots; they may just
reduce lax skin. Only 3D Skin Rejuvenation from Cutera addresses all of the most common conditions of
aging – age spots, sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles and lax skin.

Our signature service…TITAN is one of our most exciting procedures because we can often help avoid costly and risky surgeries. Best results are seen with the recommended 3 treatments 4 – 6 months apart. By utilizing infrared light delivered through a carefully gauged sapphire crystal TITAN heats the dermis well below the skin’s surface resulting in collagen contraction and tighter skin. Over the years we have seen skin tighten and rejuvenated on the jowls, abdomen, neck and even under the arms. Wherever there is loose skin, TITAN may be an option for you to consider.

What happens after the treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area.
Both should dissipate within a few hours. Consult with your physician for complete information on the
benefits and risks of treatment.
What do treatments feel like?
With each Titan pulse you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable
taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without any medication. Your
physician will advise you. Schedule your consultation now.
How does the Cutera Titan work?
Titan utilizes a safe infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. During the
procedure, the skin’s top surface (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the
Titan hand piece.
The Titan difference
Titan’s light-based platform provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis
than other energy sources, such as RF (radio- frequency).
What areas respond best to the Titan procedure?
Patients have been successfully treated on many areas of the body. The most common areas treated are
the jawline, under the chin, and the abdomen.
Who can be treated?
Since the Titan procedure heats tissue under the skin’s surface, patients of any skin type or age can
be treated. Your physician can advise you if the Titan is right for you.
How many treatments will I need?
Although a single treatment has produced very good results for many patients, it is quite common for
patients to have two or three treatments over a few months. Your physician will advise you as to the
number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.

How does Laser Genesis work?
By gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin’s surface, Laser Genesis stimulates collagen
regrowth. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness.
What can I expect before the treatment?
You will not need gel, anesthetic cream or ice prior to treatment. Before the actual Laser Genesis
treatment, you will be asked to remove your make-up or moisturizers and, in some cases, you may be
asked to shave the area to be treated. Your physician will review and assist with all pre-treatment
requirements.
How many treatments will I need?
The treatment results are often subtle. On average, you may require four to six treatments in order to
achieve optimal results. Every patient’s condition and needs vary. For more information about your
expected results or the number of treatments necessary, consult your physician.
What are the possible side effects?
Although most patients report few if any side effects, the most common is a slight redness that
disappears within a few hours of treatment. Consult your physician for complete information about the
benefits and risks of treatment.
What kind of textural improvements can you expect with Laser Genesis skin therapy?
Over the course of four to five treatments, Laser Genesis can help restore the skin’s youthful glow and
appearance by smoothing out uneven textures caused by aging, sun damage or scars. You will see a more
creamy, healthy complexion as large pores are reduced in size, and minor imperfections are diminished.
The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite
dramatic.
What areas can be treated?
Laser Genesis patients report excellent results over their entire faces and necks. Additionally,
practitioners may suggest this therapy to diminish recent scars on other parts of the body.
What is diffuse redness?
Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness, such as rosy cheeks. This condition is
caused by dilated capillaries, resulting in an appearance of general redness, not discrete, well-defined
vessels. The most commonly affected areas are the nose, forehead and cheeks. Diffuse redness is often
associated with a condition called rosacea and it can be hereditary. Laser Genesis will help your
appearance by gently treating and reducing this condition.
What does the procedure feel like?
Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming
of your skin’s surface during the procedure as the laser hand piece is moved back and forth about 1/2
inch above your skin. You can immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen if
participating in outdoor activities.

TREATMENT OF BROWN SPOTS AND SUN DAMAGE
IPL Photofacial or Photo Genesis is an innovative way to quickly, safely improve your skin's texture, tone and color on your face, chest, arms, and hands. Signs of sun damage and age spots will usually flake off after one or two treatments, leaving clearer, younger-looking skin.
The Photo Genesis difference
Comfort. We have created a pulsed light system that is exceptionally effective for treating skin
redness (rosacea), brown spots and sun damage at a very comfortable energy level. There is no need to
apply topical anesthetic or gel beforehand, and you can realize remarkable results in just one or two
treatments.

- When will I see results?
- Will the spots and redness reappear over time?
- What areas can be treated?

How long will the treatment take?
The actual treatment will only take a few minutes. And, since there is no need to apply gel or any
topical anesthetic, your total appointment time can easily fit within your lunch hour.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, five treatments are sufficient to see dramatic results. Additional treatments may be
required for very large or dark spots, densely freckled areas, or excessively sun damaged skin.
What happens after the treatment?
Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may notice a slight reddening
of the surrounding skin. This typically subsides within a couple of hours. Over the course of the
next one to three weeks, darkened spots will fade and flake off. Your mottled complexion will clear.
Consult with your medical professional for complete information on the benefits and risks of treatment.
When will I see results?
Many patients see significant improvement within two to three weeks of treatment. Your complexion will
be clearer and younger looking. However, your final result may not be apparent for a month or more.
Will the spots and redness reappear over time?
Over time new spots may appear if there is sufficient sun exposure. These too can be removed.
Remember to liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new
spots and excessive redness.
What areas can be treated?
Virtually any part of your body with uneven skin tone, diffuse redness, or sun and age spots can be
safely treated. The face, chest, shoulders and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because
they have typically had the most sun exposure. Discrete brown spots, excessively ruddy complexions and
skin densely covered with freckles respond well to treatment.
What does the treatment do?
The visible light delivered by the Photo Genesis procedure is selectively absorbed by the pigmented
spots and red areas on your skin. It’s the heating of the pigmented cells that causes the therapeutic
effect.
Will I need to have an anesthetic?
No. Unlike other systems, the Photo Genesis treatment requires no topical anesthetic or gel before
treatment. Gel is messy, time consuming, and uncomfortable. Photo Genesis is the next generation in
pulsed light treatments.
What do treatments feel like?
When the hand piece is placed on your skin, it will feel cool and comfortable. When the pulse of light
is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief pinching sensation.

The Cutera CoolGlide difference

from light to dark, including tanned patients. Its unique design, longer wavelength, and innovative
cooling design, allow extremely effective, safe and permanent results.

Are there any restrictions on my activity after treatment?
Following the treatment, you can return to your normal activities right away, but some redness may
occur. The use of sunscreen is recommended on any treated areas exposed to the sun. In addition, your
physician may recommend that you use a specially formulated skin care product line or prescribe a skin
care regimen especially formulated for your skin type.
What are the possible side effects?
Although patients experience few side effects, the most commonly noticed are slight reddening and local
swelling of the skin, similar to a sunburn. These effects typically last for several hours or less.
In rare instances, blistering may occur. Consult with your medical professional for complete information
on the benefits and risks of treatment.
How does the CoolGlide compare with other hair removal methods?
Shaving, waxing, and depilatory creams are all temporary methods which must be repeated on a frequent
basis. The CoolGlide offers permanent hair reduction for lasting results.
How does the CoolGlide compare with electrolysis?
Electrolysis is a tedious, invasive, and painful process that involves inserting a needle into each
individual hair follicle and delivering an electrical charge to them one at a time. Electrolysis often
requires years of treatments at regular intervals. By delivering light energy to hundreds of hair
follicles at a time, the CoolGlide effectively treats an area in just seconds that would take over an
hour with electrolysis.
Why choose CoolGlide over other laser hair removal systems?
Using the latest technology in laser hair removal, the CoolGlide can rapidly treat large areas without
the limitations of older technologies. The CoolGlide longer wavelength allows it to be used safely
and effectively on patients with light or dark skin as well as tanned skin. Unlike other systems,
the CoolGlide can treat the fine hair on a woman’s upper lip just as easily and effectively as the
coarse hair on a man’s back. The cooled hand piece increases patient comfort and minimizes the adverse
skin reaction commonly seen with other lasers. Schedule your consultation now to find out if you are a
candidate.
What areas can be treated with the CoolGlide?
The CoolGlide can remove hair from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, and
back. It can also treat sensitive areas like the chest, nipples, and bikini line.
What do CoolGlide treatments feel like?
As the name implies, the CoolGlide handpiece cools and soothes as it glides along your skin. When the
pulse of light is delivered, some patients experience a mild pinching or stinging sensation. No local
anesthesia or pain medication is typically required; however, some patients may prefer to use a topical
anesthetic when sensitive areas are treated.
How many treatments will I need?
Most areas require 3-6 treatments. However, the number of CoolGlide treatments required for optimal
long-term benefits depends on multiple factors – hair thickness, the area treated and your hair's
growth cycle. Interestingly, not all hairs are actively growing at the same time and actually go
through three distinct phases: growth, regression, and resting. CoolGlide treatments work by disabling
the hair that is principally in the active growth phase at the time of treatment. Since other hairs
will enter this active growth phase at different times, additional treatments may be necessary to
disable all of the hair follicles in a given area.
What happens after the treatment?
Immediately following your CoolGlide treatment, the area may appear a bit red and swollen. Three to
seven days after treatment you may experience what seems to be regrowth of hair. Actually, most of
these hairs are being shed as a result of your treatment and are not regrowing. Between treatments
you should not wax or pluck your hair, but it is permissible to shave.
